WINELANDS

The Cape Winelands have long been heralded as a must see destination on a visit to South Africa. Located just an hour from Cape Town, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch are the two most iconic Winelands towns. Boasting over 200 wine and grape producers, Stellenbosch was the first region to establish a formal route among the wineries. The Franschoek Valley is encircled by scenic mountains and is characterised by rolling vineyards and fields and some of the country's top restaurants.

STELLENBOSCH

Stellenbosch is one of the most beautiful of all the winelands towns, possibly in the whole of South Africa. The majestic mountains and bountiful vineyards surround the historic town. Stellenbosch is also known for its prestigious University, beautiful Cape Dutch architecture and oak-shaded streets.

FRANSCHHOEK

Franschhoek is steeped in history and culture, being one of the oldest towns in the region and a  it really is a must see. The Franschhoek Wine Route has some of the best wine estates in the country where you can spend the day sipping on fine wines and award winning MCCs (Méthode Cap Classique).

Today, Franschhoek is well known for its award winning wines, restaurants and amazing venues. A true haven for connoisseurs of fine food and wine, there is just so much to enjoy. With its friendly small village atmosphere Franschhoek has a number of delightful art and design shops, as well as offering you the Huguenot Museum or the famous Franschhoek Motor Museum. In the heart of Franschhoek village with a buzz of cafes, shops, restaurants and more historical sites, you will be able to immerse yourself in the culture, tastes and sounds of Franschhoek.
